My 31 year old daughter is an opiate addict.
This has been a 5 year plus epic with little relief. She is manipulative and prays on our emotions to an extent that rips you apart.
All aimed at getting money. Sometimes we give in. Buying ourselves a small bit of peace. Communication is one way - from her to us.
Her latest scam is she is in Rehab. Intricately thought out. Collected some of her clothes from us to go, E mails saying how things are. Then a colonoscopy required. Maybe this is true maybe not. All very credible but, the rehab, is a proven lie. But so consistent and believable.
So now emails get deleted automatically.
What really hurts is the emotional blackmail. If we could help we would. BUT...
