Family Drug Support Aotearoa New Zealand (FDS)
Family Drug Support is a New Zealand wide not- for-profit organisation set up to support family/whānau and friends impacted by the alcohol and other drug use of people they care about. The aim is to provide support based on science, compassion and human rights. A range of services are offered to impacted family/whānau and friends located in any part of New Zealand. Services are available via Telehealth (Zoom) including outside office hours. Services include Single Session Consultations, the 5-session psycho-educational counselling programme, the 5-session psycho-educational counselling Youth (16 to 24 year) programme, Online group, and a Supportline.
Familial Trust: Because Families Matter
Familial Trust is based in Christchurch and provides face to face and online counselling for people negatively impacted by someone else’s use of alcohol and other drugs. Familial Trust operates a sliding fee scale between $85.00 and $35.00 per session

Brave Hearts are a free support service for people with family & whānau & friends in the grips of problematic substance use. Brave Hearts facilitates group meetings in the community, provides phone support and can refer those who need it to counselling or other professional service providers. Everyone is welcome.
Family Connections
Family Connections is an evidence based manualised free 12 week course for family members who have a relative with emotion regulation difficulties. Co-facilitated by trained family members and trained professionals it helps family gain communications skills that promote positive relationships. This international program is co-ordinated nationally by Family Connections (NEA BPD) NZ Inc and provided in many districts across NZ. Program contact details on the national website.
